DAY 9: SENSOJI TEMPLE, NAKAMISE SHOPPING STREET, IKEBUKURO & TOKYO STATION

Sensōji, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple is Tokyo's largest ancient Buddhist temple.
It was crowded that day with many local students

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time for some street food! The street that leads to the temple is call the "Nakamise Shopping Street".
Really obvious as there are many huge stickers display throughout the street and there is like this decorative flower design sticking out of ever shops.
One thing about Japan is people are not allowed to eat while walking, if I am not wrong something to do with manners. So near every stall there will always be this designated place to stand and also there is always a bin nearby.
Guess that is why it is so clean there
We had Agemanju (Fried Mochi), Melon Pan (sweet bun with a layer of crispy texture on top) and those traditional Dango (Japanese sweet dumpling aka mochi) on skewer.
Gosh one of the best Melon Pan I have ever tasted
Went to supermarket to get some seasoning and miscellaneous stuff then had afternoon tea in a mall.Shiok
Japan and their cute stuff. It is where seasoning is travel friendly, just pop it in your makeup bag
We then headed to some mall in Ikebukuro which unfortunately I totally forget because it was just a departmental store where we purchase some souvenirs back. If I am not wrong though it should be "Tobu" mall which was one of the largest departmental store available in Tokyo
Story time again. We had a hard time finding that specific mall and google map was not really telling us the directions well. So me and jo was walking in front trying to find the place followed by the rest. After awhile everyone realized my dad is missing. And to add on to this /holy shit/ situation my mom took my dad phone because she was doing some pictures edit during our train journey. Not that he has service but maybe he could have tag to some public WIFI and contact us from there since the router is with me. JIALIAT?!
After retracing the steps around the streets that we once walked while trying to find the shopping mall, we decided to separate by having 2 person to go get the souvenirs and the other 2 to wait at this particular area. This was decided because already more than an hour was wasted.
When we were about to part ways we saw that familiar figure. My god, rage mode on
Everybody raging especially my mom. Turns out my dad was taking pictures and lost us. Smart enough though he found the shopping mall and was going around in it trying to find us but the thing is we did not even have the chance to continue finding the mall and was trying to retrace our path to find him instead.
Wait for it...
My dad even more steady he went to ask for help at the shopping mall. How? Paging, Yes, those "We have _____  looking for _____. Can the person by the name of _____ kindly proceed to level 1 information counter"
Goodness gracious There were some communication barrel so the service staff actually spend a few minutes to request for my dad to repeat and pronunce the name slowly a couple of times and she wrote the words that sounds alike in Kanji. She also tried to ask around her colleagues if any could announce in English. So basically the whole mall knows our name as it was annouced both in English and in Japanese. LOLOL luckily no clothing descriptions
My dad lead us to the mall.
When we entered the mall, the lady spotted my dad and with a worried face we could totally understand from her expression that she was trying to ask "Have you found your family?!"
My goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what can I say, whole new level
Got the souvenirs and we headed back to Tokyo Station because I wanted to buy those Kit Kat flavors that I could not get at Ueno
We then headed to this random Teppanyaki place to have our dinner.
Great choice! Not only the food was good and affortable, the waiters and chef was super duper friendly, we chatted a little and they even gave us a dish on the house!
Like whuttttt that's just too generous
Sadly I can't remember the name (it is in Kanji) but it is right beside this banner that states "Sotobori Chika 2nd Street"
Our last night view
Going back tomorrow :( The night of trying to squeeze everything in our luggage
